My first PLEIN AIR PAINTING, 1960

Advised to try Plein Air painting by a teacher, it was done while home on vacation from the American Academy of Art and was the lead painting in a lifetime of painting from nature.

Part of the lesson in this painting was that the brook had no blue in it but in spite of this it worked, teaching me the importance of Plein Air painting!
